Who I am
When you grow up in a field of educators, going into art seems like a pipe dream. And it was! I didn’t go to school for art because I was told there’d be no career in it. Now that I’ve been freelancing for 12 years, furthering my education between teaching art to kids for 10 years, I realized that advice was whack. It’s never too late for a career change, to develop a hobby, or to take an excruciatingly frustrating class on the Fundamentals of Architecture Design to learn how to actually draw a building that wasn’t leaning.
I am a 32 year old Philly based freelancer who specialized in character design, concept art, and environment design. I am adaptive and willing to learn new programs and tools and pick them up fast. 2D is my main love, and narrative works are my speciality. I’ve dabbled in comics and webtoons, book cover art, subscription boxes, album art, TTRPG character designs, merchandise art, and branding. I’ve dipped my toes into so many little ponds because my interests are as varied as I am as a human. So although my experience range is wide, my willingness and capability to learn is quite quick.
Besides what I can do, I’m fun to work with and adaptable. And I believe kindness is the most important quality in a human being. With interests in anime, D&D, RPG video games, and running around the house with my cats, trust me when I say, I have plenty of things to discuss and inspire me in my works.
